Made In The Shade! :)

The shade bed is one of the first things one sees when they visit, so it deserves attention! :)
This is how it was looking ...
And it had me feeling quietly out-of-sorts! :)
It was time to do something about it and enjoy a run to some garden nurseries ...
To buy some texture and color! :)
It's amazing what a little fresh color and bark can do for a flower bed and for my frame of mind! :)

Today Sylvester was my garden buddy! :)

A little pruning revealed the cement mold of our son's handprints from his younger years, and allows us to see it and enjoy it again! :)

Now that this bed is back in order I'm feeling better about it again! :)

Sylvester hugging my leg! This is the new thing he does to demand my attention! :)

As soon as one flower bed is done it's time to start work on another! At least for now, we have it made in the shade! :)

2nd Milestone! :)

I thought I'd take a moment to mention that on the first of this month we reached a 2nd blog milestone!! :)
We made the 10,000 viewing point! :)
I tried to catch it at 10,000 even, but ran out to tend to the felines for a moment and when I came back in we were over by one! ... Close enough! :)
Many thanks to those of you who follow my blog! It makes me want to keep on blogging! :)
Hope everyone's enjoying excellent weather and outdoor activities, like we are! :)
I've been too busy to blog lately, but have managed to take photos for at least three post! :)
Will blog more soon! :)
Enjoy that sunshine, everyone!! :)

Rejuvinated! :)

For those who enjoy 'before and after' photos, I decided to share today's completion of one of my flower beds!
 This is before! ...

 And here's the after! :)
The fun thing about this flower bed is that I didn't need to change the plants! :)

The only change was weeding, expanding & redefining the edge of the bed, and adding fresh beauty bark! :)
Now that the good weather is here again, I'm looking forward to doing this with all the beds! :)
Something about clean, dressed flower beds makes me feel rejuvenated! :)
