When I see my own reflection in the lens, I'm reminded why I much prefer pointing the lens out-ward to my amazing surroundings!! :) While my eyes fill with appreciation and wonder as I look at the world around me, - I tend to be more critical of my own reflection. ... I see the makeup that was uneven at the end of the day; the glasses that happen to be at a slight slant at that moment; the yellowed teeth that I've been actually thinking about spending money to have my dentist whiten; the gray that is invading my brown hair; ...

and the excess weight that I am determined to lose in my fight to get fit! :)
Some of my friends started a fitness group with me last fall, and I'm happy to say that I just dropped a jean size!! :) I have a long way to go to reach my fitness goals, but I believe I will get there! :) Maybe when I do, it'll be a little easier to have the lens looking back at me, who knows!
I guess maybe it's just human nature to be critical of our own image, where we are accepting of others.
The thing IS, - the lens reveals much more about who I am when I'm looking through it, than when it's looking back at me! :)
I love this beautiful world we live in, and I can see and feel the love our Heavenly Father has for us in all the beauty I see around us! I hope as I look through the lens, you will see and feel some of His love for us too!! :) I hope my blog, in some small way, helps you Enjoy The Journey!! :)
