Sheana was here to see the swallows line up on the power lines! :)
It's a late-summer ritual we enjoy here every year! :)
She was here at the right time of year to go for a bike ride with her dad! :)
They enjoyed the one-on-one time together ...
As they took a drive to see Mt. Saint Helens! :)
Sheana's always game to go and do activities with us! :)
She even went with me to a vendor who sells yard whimsy items! :)
Since I'm in need of some whimsy in the yard, I bought a few pieces! :)
Then, after deciding I didn't buy enough, ...
She was game to drive back with me the next day, ...
Park far out in the field with other fair goers, ...
And do more walking so I wouldn't have to go alone! :)
I love all of my new whimsy characters, but one I'm especially fond of ...
Is this scholar who shares my love of good books! :)
This one has class, but it's difficult to see it well in these photos of it! :)
I bought a variety of birds for the front of the house, ...
And a couple of cats for the cat shed! :)
One is sitting in a magical umbrella, while the other is just sitting! :)
Sheana helped me carry all my packages back to the car, ... both times! :) XO
She saw many dear friends while she was here, whom we enjoyed as well! :)
She was here at the right time to enjoy our hot summer weather! :)
The glow it gives is like the glow we feel around our Sheana! :)
She shines and warms our hearts! :)
Time past all too soon and before I was ready, we were saying good-bye at the airport! But I feel the after-glow because ... Sheana was here! :) Love You Sweets! :) XO

Things Are Looking Up! :)
Things are looking up! :)
Due to using the wrong paint product for our decks last summer, we've spent this summer ...
Sanding and re-painting our two decks, and bench! :)
It's a relief to have it done! :)
We were happy the new product still allowed us to use the same colors, ...
And have it look like it did when we finished painting last year! :)
Of course any time one uses multiple paint colors ...
The touch up work seems endless! :)
We could continue to touch-up paint from now to eternity! :)
It's time to put down the paint brushes and walk away! :)
We're calling this project Done! :) ...

Fondly Familiar! :)
We had an amazing sunrise the other morning, with a red sun! :)
It was made more brilliant due to fire smoke from Canada and in our own WA state!
My shadow, surrounded by the morning sun, better shows the brightness of the color! :)
As a child when we had an unusually snowy winter, ...
Like the one we had last winter, ...
It would be followed by a summer that had unusually hot temps' reaching in the 100's!
True to character, our snowy winter has been followed by a hot summer ...
With temp's reaching into the 100's!
After two to three days with that kind of heat, temp's are expected to be back in the 90's and 80's for awhile! It seems much more do-able in comparison! :)
It's rather fun to see that this area has the characteristics I remember as a child! :) It's like coming across an item from one's childhood and discovering that it hasn't changed! :) It's still true to character, and fondly familiar! :)
