Furry Friends! :)

This blog is in answer to a request from a couple of dear girls of mine, ... my daughter Sheana, and her friend Kelsey who is like a daughter to me, since she spent so many sleep overs in our home, as they were growing up, that I cheerfully thought of the top bunk as being hers! :)
So girls, - and anyone else who may enjoy this update on our pets, - here's some new photos, as requested! :)

They now have found the fun area under the tool shed to hang out and take cat naps! :)

Here's Coal sporting his new orange collar, in time for Halloween! :)

Coal seems to be saying, "So Sheana, when are you going to visit me again and bring Brennan to play with me!" :)
We'll have to give this some thought and see when we can plan another get together! :)
Hope you gals enjoyed this, ... as well as any others who enjoy our furry friends! :)

Playing Outside! :)

I was always one of those kids who preferred playing outside over playing indoors! Give me the feel and air on my skin and the aromas of nature enticing my senses! :)
I'm in my 50's now, but nothing's changed! I Still find being outside more thrilling than being indoors, and am happy when I can justify working on an outdoor project! :)
Today I set about the fun task of pruning the branches that have grown into our drive that leads to the back of our property! :) I ended up filling the wheelbarrow to overflowing three times before I had it all picked up! This was the 2nd wheelbarrow full in this photo, so the job of picking it all up was already two-thirds of the way done! :)
I love the Christmas tree fragrance that tingled my nose and still is clinging to my hands, hair, and clothes! It will almost be a shame to go shower it off! :)
Soon the temps' will drop, the weather will worsen, and I will be forced to turn my full attention to the indoors for the winter.
For today, at least, I thoroughly enjoyed playing outside! :)

Time Out! :)

When I'm feeling overwhelmed with everything on my long to-do list, and pressured by the fact that it all seems to have time constraints, I've found release in giving myself a time-out, going outside and taking photos of nature and of Cali and her kids! :)
I find both to be very therapeutic and they sooth my soul! :)
If you like, step outside or open a window to feel the air on your skin, take a deep breath and let it out, and take a time-out with me! :) Remember you can click on the photos to enlarge them if you wish, for better enjoyment! :) ...

Here's hoping you've been soothed too! :) Have a great day everyone! :)

Observing In Overdrive! :)

Lately I'm been observing my life in overdrive! We just spotted this hornet nest in our front yard, only feet from our front door, and it is the sum of my life right now, as I'm living it under pressure! :) Even as I type, our power company is working on my road, graciously giving me 10 minutes to finish this blog before turning off my power for a spell! :)
I'm not the only one feeling out-of-whack, as my witch hazel is in full bloom right now, instead of blooming at her normal time in late winter! :)
Maybe it has everything to do with Fall, the chill in the air, and the bewitching spell of October! :)
I'm enjoying the morning chill, however! Something about it is rather fun! :)
I've observed my little Mason Bees busy at work! :)
They just managed to fill 4 tubes of life that will pollinate my garden come Spring! :)
I managed to can 17 pints of salsa, so far, and feel a little overwhelmed with how much more canning and freezing of the garden's produce, that I have ahead of me, - but it's a good problem to have! :)
My biggest cause for feeling in overdrive, is getting Cali and her kids to the vet where they were All fixed! :) Now they are home recovering! :)

I'll quick close and let the nice PUD men turn off my power now until they're work is done! :)
Maybe once the power's off I can slow down and catch my breath! :) grin
