Sometimes September feels like a season all her own! She's changed from Summer, yet is not quite Fall! ...
The Summer birds have flown south, so we no longer hear the cheery singing of the songbirds in the morning; or see the amazing flight demonstrations of the swallows in the air; or enjoy the active zipping and humming of the hummingbirds! Their feeder is sadly void of activity, but will remain available for any late travelers that may be passing through from now until the end of Oct.. :)
Some trees are beginning to mimic Fall, changing color and dropping some of their leaves, ...
while other trees are still Summer green! :)
The felines are having to take cover from time to time as rain showers and thunder storms are intermixed with the sunshine! The temperatures remain in the Summery 70's and 80's! :)
Some garden plants are in their best throw of production, while other crops are finished, requiring the first efforts of putting the garden to bed. Notice the tower of snow peas have died back. ...
One more item in the garden that has now been cleared out and added to the burn pile! :) I enjoy looking out and seeing the green house window, now! :)
The outdoor projects are now being done around the heat And the showers! :)
The lawn that had gone dormant in the Summer sun has begun to green with the September showers! :)
Only the areas void of the blessed rain remain brittle brown. :)
Sunsets continue to promise the ongoing Summer temperatures, ...
While exciting thunder storms, and rain showers, now bring needed moisture, invigorating many flowering plants to again breath and bloom! :)
Perhaps there's really 5 Seasons! ... Fall; Winter; Spring; Summer; and ... September!! :)
